Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW), Indian Railways has released an official notification for engagement of 225 Act Apprentices under Apprentices Act 1961 for various trades. Eligible ITI/Non-ITI candidates can apply online through the PLW official website within the specified dates. Application Fee

Online registration start date: 01-12-2025 | Last date for submission of online application: 22-12-2025.

Age Limit

Minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years as on the cut off date mentioned in the notification. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen as per Government of India rules.

Qualification

10th Class (Matriculation) under 10+2 system with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and ITI in relevant trade (NCVT/SCVT) for ITI categories. For some trades, only 10th qualification as per notification. Candidates must satisfy medical and other conditions as per Apprentices Act and Railway rules.

Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of merit list prepared from marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI (where applicable). There will be no written test or interview. Document verification and medical examination will be conducted before final engagement.
